Wow......

I haven't posted since May! I've been super busy since then with my junior year at Linfield almost half done already and being going stress and stir crazy. Lots of test and an insane need for a break at home.

My brother is going to be having a baby in January at 18 a month before he's 19 and I'm kind of engaged kinda not I have a promise ring on my finger because he wants a diamond for my finger instead of the garnet I have now. That is very nice regardless of what he says!

I also have been getting more involved at my church now that I've recently became Christian and I have a hunger for learning more about Jesus and God I thought it best to get more involved with church activities. Like I'm taking a Beth Moore study and for anyone whose taken Beth Moore studies knows how AMAZING she is! I love her to pieces with the way she take the word and makes it visually alive for me!

I also have a belly dance performance tonight if you want to check out the past performances in video form you can go to youtube and in the search engine type Linfield ladies and all the videos with me or my friends will be in there including the video if me singing Vietnamese with my friends at our annual International Fair, which when we do have it our auditorium is packed with people standing! And if you've ever been to Ice or what use to be called Melrose Auditorium it's pretty big.

Overall I'm just taking everyday at a time with class like Chinese, Psych, and Communication Theory this semester I'm pretty busy in that arena and everything else I do keeps me amazingly busy as well so I do okay.

New person in my life....

Well you are probably wondering who that handsome guy is with me huh? Well he's my new boyfriend! He's really great I'm sure you'd all approve! I'd just felt bad I hadn't said anything about him on here but since I've been so caught up in HSKS 5 I've been on my Harry Potter blog www.emmascrimgeour.blogspot.com you should go check it out I'm really proud of my evolving blogger skills! Well back to the ever bigger pile of homework, woo he life of a college student!

Too Much Free Time...

Usually have extra time is great, I can read novels and knit, what's better??? But since my car accident a few months ago long periods of knitting and spinning make my shoulder ache, as well as holding a book for long periods. So I'm kind of at a loss on what to do with my time.

So today I returned the Burt's Bees facial toner and complexion mist I bought at Harvest Fresh, an organic health food/deli/and beauty shop on 3rd Street and then bought groceries. So I got to take a nice walk and enjoy the summery weather, for once, then went to work which was very boring! Since I work in an office I'm not really having exciting conversations not even with co-workers because I'm the only one in there at all times. So work is pretty boring.

Lately I've been trying to figure out which path I should be walking to find my spirituality. It's one that's been very long and bumpy, to say the least. I've been a Wiccan for the good part of my middle school and high school years. While I never did the elaborate circles you see on TV or read about I would occasionly do small circles and just be in the place where I'm just there and everything can flow from one part of my body and release. Kind of like meditation except I didn't push away straying thoughts I'd engage them and try to figure out what they were all about. Now I'm reading the Bible that a friend brought for me from his church and I went to church this morning. It's a complete turn around from where I was to where I am now. Twice I've been to this church and twice when we sing praise I want to cry because it's all so Beautiful and I just feel overwhelmed I guess. I don't really know why I feel so but we'll see if I feel the same reaction to praise overall next Sunday. Which for once in my life I'm excited to go to church!

HSKS Order of the Phoenix!

New Swap info! Woo! Well the fab. headmistress over at www.hsks5.blogspot.com has done it again! She's so creative in figuring out ways to make swapping more fun and more involved! I'm definitely back in after miss hsks4 but I'm super excited to do it again! Can't wait to sign up on the 30th since I'm a returning student, new students sign up will be the 2nd of May! You'll have to look for me as Emma Scigeomour, at least I think that's how the last name is suppose to be :) Well hope to see some of you fellow knitters and crocheters over there! Let the swapping begin soon!

PMSy and All Emmotional...

Yeah the title really tells it all. Haven't been on here in awhile and I just had an itch to blog again, for me it's a great feeling to get it all out on...paper, kind of. I know I should tell someone but I don't want to cause any trouble or anything and it's just me during this favorite time of any woman's life.

So the whole problem is I have no self confidence I weigh, yes I'm actually going to give a ballpark figure, over 200lbs, and I haven't ever really felt hot, sexy, or good looking in any remote way. Not even when I do my thing with Bellydance which is suppose to make you feel amazing. For me it just makes me feel fat being the biggest girl in the club on campus and everyone being relativily tiny it's super hard sometimes to don the skirt and coin belt.



As you can see from this picture of me doing my first solo!!!!! Which was scary as all hell and even though I think I'll do it again I definielt plan on being more prepared in that I made the choreography for the dance days before the performance, SO Stressful! But I only forgot a few part and no one could tell or so my friends told me, but they are my friends so maybe you can tell, I know I can but I know what all my facial expressions mean.

On to the other reason why I'm all emotional and blah. Every single one of my friends have a boyfriend. And I'm really starting to feel like a loner. Now don't get me wrong being single is great too, but only at times. And those times defiently don't include going to a dance or party and having no one to dance with or just a general social event with my group of friends all the couples are together and then the 3 of us who are single are like what's left, ok well at least that's how I feel. For example, right now my roomie is talk to her boyfriend who goes to BYU in Utah and were in OR but just hearing them makes me lonely and sad.

Moral of this story is that I really need to get myself in control as far as the weight issues go and need to get over this emotional bs because that's really what it is is just crap I need to get over because it's not true. I do believe that he's out there but I just wish I'd run into him sooner than later.

Swatches are done but still unsure.....

Well they're done but I'm not too happy with them. Mainly because I kept messing up once I hit the S1k2togpsso or slip 1 knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knit 2 together. In case that looked like Greek to you! I really want to do wool or a blend like I did with the first stole which I have to finish yet! But we'll see what I end up with it all depends on whether the TLC Baby blocks or not, it's acrylic but it's got nice colors and I'd only need 2 to 3 and not up to 4 skeins like the other yarns my mom and I were looking at to do this project. So the first hint comes out this Friday and hopefully I'm ready by then and I don't get behind! Wish me LUCK!!!! PS: The varigated swatch is made with Patton's Grace Cotton.

THANK YOU HEATHER YOU'RE AMAZING!

I got my oackage a few days ago, sorry it took me so long to post about it but school has been completely bonkers around here! I love everything I got! The bag is sewn but it's got the construction of those Knit Picks bags that you clip to your belt loops which is AMAZING! and reversible. I got a sock pattern from Knitty.com and it's lace and beading! Very adventourous but I think I can handle it ecpessially after the Secret of the Stole! And i got HARMONY WOOD DPNS!!!!!!! I don't know what to use them on yet but they're SO pretty I love them! And since I'm a college student Heather L. sent me all these really great pens! I love awesome pens it makes all the note writing more fun! She also got me all kinds of HP candy which was gone that very day! She sent me a really nice journal that I hope I'm better using then I've been in the past but it's a really nice one. She also sent me these amazing stitch markers of course! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH AGAIN HEATHER I LOVE EVERYTHING!
